My Season

I know it’s mad. I know it’s irrational. Even good ‘King’ Arfur – Keith: he of Sky and all points north, south, east and west, suggested that the whole thing was mad. What happens when you lose it…?” he said.
“I guess I’ll be knackered…” I responded.
“Precisely!” The good King Arfur countered.

You may well be wondering what on earth I’m spouting on about. Well let me enlighten you. Hats… I’m talking about hats.

I agree, that a hat is not a vital bit of fly fishing kit – or is it? You just try fishing in a hat that you have not caught a fish in and see how you get on. For this feature I wanted to try and look, well, just a little trendy – in step with current fly fishing trends. Wearing a funky baseball cap was my token gesture. An untried and unfished baseball cap is just asking for all manner of bad karma.
