I’ve tended to work in neoprene chest waders during my 20-year career in fishery management, neglecting the traditional PVC wader.
Over the last four months, however, I’ve been using the Vass 700 Chest Waders and they have certainly stood up to the rigours of fishery work.
Coming in sizes 6 to 13 these waders are built to last. They boast a tough Vass boot, which has a wider calf and foot fitting and a chunky yellow reinforced sole.
Add to this a reinforced knee area, D-Rings, quad welded seams, elasticated and box stitched brace loops, easy repair material and an internal draw-cord and this is a wader that will pass the test in any conditions.
While heavier than our usual breathable waders I’ve used these when fishing and working and found them to be very comfortable.
There are three models: non-studded, studded sole and mega-studded sole. The ones I’ve been using are the studded sole.
A good all-round wader and one for those who like to work in the water!
