Here are eight terrific patterns guaranteed to get results on Rutland Water early on in the season.
From Lures to Nymphs we've got it covered!
Try a floating line and long leaders for the nymphs, try and target water around 10 to 15ft deep and keep everything nice and slow during the retrieve.
When it comes to lures, think sinking lines, anything from a Di3 to a Di7, try using the flies as a team or individually, once the trout are located, change colours and position sot keep this takes coming.
