Carsington Fishery Report Week Commencing 18th July 2016

Week Commencing 18th July 2016

With water levels slowly dropping and the weed banks growing, drifting across the main basin has produced the best returns! The eastern bank with it's sharper drop offs is the best place to avoid the weedbanks along with the dam wall and North end all producing good returns as well!

Rod Average

The rod average for this week was 5.06 with 253 fish caught by 50 anglers.

Best Rainbow/Brown

The heaviest Rainbow was 3lb 8oz caught by Mr Pearce

The heaviest Brown was 3lb 4oz caught by Mr Neale

Top Spot

The most popular spots have been North End, Fishtail, Dam Wall, eastern bank and the main basin.

Methods & Flies

The most successful patterns were Minkies, Green/Black Fritz, pink snakes, Damsels, Black Hoppers, Hares Ear.

Intermediate and Flaoting lines have proved the most successful.
