Bewl Water Fishery Report - 4th August 2016

Fishing has improved vastly over the last week. The water temperature has dropped to 20c. and the trout are on or near the surface. Rod average for the week based on returns is 4.93. Water quality has improved too. Catch and release for fly fishing has been reinstated for as long as the water stays cool enough.

Best areas for boats have been across the North shore of the water including the Main Bowl and Hook Straight and also Chingley Point. Best areas for bank fishing are Chingley and the Dam Wall.

Successful flies have been blobs, boobies, Cormorants and Hare's Ears.

Don't forget that for an extra £2.50 you can enter our Golden Fish competition and if you catch the tagged trout you win £2,500.00.

Winner of the prize draw for July is Gordon Buky-Webster who wins a free boat.
