Very mixed weather patterns this week with Tuesday's climate going from one extreme to another, bright sunny calm morning which turned into a dark windy, thunderstorm evening, the last three boats came rushing back to the jetty before it hit.
Mixed fortunes for our fishermen as well, depending on which day you ventured out, earlier on in the week producing the best returns
The rod average for this week was 2.9 with 181 fish caught by 63 anglers.
The heaviest Rainbow was 4lb caught by Mr Frankins & Mr Bourne.
The heaviest Brown was 3lbs 8oz caught by Mr Sumwall.
The most popular spots have been around buoys 4 & 5, Dam wall, Fishtail Creek, middle of water and back of islands.
Methods & Flies
The most successful patterns were Daddies, black lures, Boobies, Damsel Nymphs, Black Cormorant, black & pink snake and Montana.
Floating, intermediate and sinking lines have all been used this week.
It's good to be able to feature those great catches on our weekly reports. We have already received some great shots, thanks to those who have emailed in.
We always have a camera in the fishery lodge so let us know if your catch is worth a snap!
