Fishing Report - 17th October 2016

The fishing has been good this week with a further increase to the rod average.
The police held their annual competition on Wednesday with most of the boats choosing to drift across the mouth of fishtail for most of the day. This certainly proved to be the right idea as the 36 anglers caught and released 197 fish between them! Staffordshire police won the overall competition and Mick Cartlidge (Staffordshire) won the individual prize with 16 fish.
The North end has started to produce fish again along the edge of the weed banks and several nice Browns have been accounted for this week.

The rod average for this week was 6.28 with 371 fish caught by 59 anglers.
