Although cold it's been a good week of fishing with numerous lovely browns being caught. Fishtail creek and the surrounding area has fished well and has been sheltered from the cool north easterly breeze.
This is our last week of fishing for 2016 so don't miss out, we still have boats left for this week.
The rod average for this week was 3.47 with 163 fish caught by 47 anglers.
The heaviest Rainbow was 4lb 8oz caught by Mr C Fraser on a mini cats whisker near fishtail creek.
The heaviest Browns were 3lb 8oz caught by Andy Gibbs.
The most popular spots have been around buoys Fishtail Creek, buoys 4 and 5, North End, Hall wood and the Back of Islands.
Methods & Flies
The most successful patterns were both wet and dry flies including Cats whisker, Boobies, Hot Head Damsels, Orange Blob, pink & green Snakes, Black Hopper and Minkies.
Sinking, Intermediate and Floating lines have all been used this week.
Our flies and line are currently marked down, everything must go before the end of the season!
Last day of the season
The last day of the 2016 season will Sunday 30th October. We are taking bookings for closing weekend so don't miss out.

Spring Open Competition 2017
Our Open Competitions have proved so popular we have released the Spring Open Date early. This is a great competition for all abilities and is fished from boats in known pairs.
