Fish week 112 (season 16,464 ) Returns 80(4,852) Rod average 1.4 (3.3)
“This year’s Pitsford Fur and Feather match fished from the boats, was probably the best ever of its type” says Pitsford Water’s Head Warden, Nathan Clayton. With the largest turnout for some years 42 anglers weighed in an incredible 75 fish, giving a rod average of 1.7. Fished in superb weather, more like early October than the dark, damp conditions associated with this time of year, some fantastic quality Rainbow Trout were brought to the scales.
The best Rainbow caught on the day weighed 6lb 4½oz and was taken by Garry Edmunds. Mick Hawkins of Kettering caught a 5lb fish.A hot pot was served by the Village Loaf and enjoyed by all. All winners received hampers and goodies ready for Christmas.
