Measuring 88cm long, this Chinook salmon could well be a brand new International Game Fish Association All-tackle length record.
Caught from New York state’s Salmon River in the USA, the potential record fell for a green salmon fly being fished by Baldwinsville angler James Sollecito.
The specimen – which measures a full 16cm longer than the current record - took a full 22minutes to beat and, as is required to claim an All-Tackle record, was released back into the river alive and well.
James proudly displays his potential new All-Tackle record.
