Stunning Llyn Trawsfynydd is set to get even better.
Home to international events to be part of £4million make over in Welsh national park.
Great news for fly anglers who enjoy sport on Wales’ Llyn Trawsfynydd lake following the announcement of plans to develop additional facilities at the venue.
Part of a £4million scheme to put south Snowdonia on the map as a ‘world class outdoor pursuits venue’, titled ‘Snowdonia – one big adventure’, the aim is to turn Llyn Trawsfynydd into a centre of angling excellence for the area.
Prysor Angling Association is coordinating the development, working with local angling retailers, shops and business to create services and products specifically for visiting anglers.
“Angling has grown in popularity in recent years and people are willing to travel for the adventure of finding new locations to fish, as well as local anglers wanting a regular base,” said Mitch Atherton of Prysor Angling Association.
“The new facilities planned at Trawsfynydd will allow greater access and more opportunities to attract anglers into Snowdonia who will in turn use local facilities and accommodation. Working with local businesses and the community we will have an angling facility of national importance here in Snowdonia.”
