Pitsford Report Oct 31

Bank angler banks monster while drifting tactics keep up the numbers for boat anglers.

Fish week 171 (season 16,195) Returns 67 (4,713) Rod average 2.5 (3.4)

Bank angler Alan Nichols fished the Gravel Bank at Pitsford Water and tied on something meaty for the time of year – a minky booby!  He certainly made the right choice as he landed a Rainbow of 8lb 8oz – the best fish of the week.

Boat anglers are taking a few fish on the rudder and other drifting methods.  Although numbers of fish are slowly reducing the quality gets better.  We still have a few places left to fish in Pitsford Water’s Fur and Feather on 13 November.  This is a popular event fished from the boat.

November reductions
From 1 November fishing tickets are reduced and a half day ticket is valid all day.  Boat prices are also reduced – fish all day from 9am for £17.

Boats will be available at Pitsford Water until Sunday 20 November.
The Brown trout season has now ended and all Browns need to be returned safely to the water.
