Venue fishing report for the week ending November 4.
90 rods caught 371 fish rod av. 4.12
Another mild week has kept the fish up near the surface and on the feed. There’s less fly life about now though and the lure patterns are starting to overtake imitative stuff.
Floaters are still best and washing line good with a minkie booby on the point and diawl bachs suspended. Buoyant patterns pulled across the surface are worth a go too as fish are keen to chase with all the fry around. There’s no particular best area as the wind has been a little more variable in direction of late.
The biggest fish of the week fell to Martin Rowson from Wrawby, with the 9lb specimen taking a minkie booby at 9Ib.
