The courses are during the school holidays. Each session will cover different aspects of fly fishing and will include the following:
The tackle, 'tackling up', common anglers’ knots, the roll cast, the overhead cast, fly tying, pond dipping and fly fishing.

The cost of each session is £10 and this includes all instruction, tackle hire and fishing costs. This fee is payable on booking.

Thursday, April 24th, 9.00am-12.00pm
Saturday, May 24th, 9.00am-12.00pm
Saturday, October 25th, 9.00am-12.00pm
The courses will consist of a mix of short theory sessions in the lodge followed by practical sessions at the waterside, to allow you the chance to put the theory into practice. During the casting and fishing sessions you will be guided by members of The Salmon and Trout Association.
Please attend suitably dressed for the weather – this may mean a fleece, wellies and waterproofs! Please ensure that you take a hat and glasses. It is also advisable to take a snack and a drink.
Hopefully you will learn a little, catch a fish or two and hopefully... take up the fascinating art of fly fishing.
