This year’s CLA Game Fair is being held at Blenheim Palace estate in Oxfordshire – from Friday, July 18th to Sunday, July 20th. It’s the fifth time that the three-day event has been held at the magnificent 11,500-acre venue in the Game Fair’s history.
It’s the world’s largest game fair, and this year the spectacular event boasts the most comprehensive outdoor hunting, shooting and fishing exhibition to be held anywhere in the UK. On the fishing side there will we a completely revamped Fishing Village, which will include scores of new exhibitors including international tackle giant Shimano, who will have a major presence fronted by TFF regular Andy Smith and a full team of their star anglers, giving visitors help and tips on fly fishing matters.
“This year we’ve completely revised the demonstrations programme, where we are placing the accent firmly on ‘achievable’ fishing,” explained the Game Fair’s newly appointed Head of Fishing, Chris Ogborne. “Youngsters and newcomers are especially encouraged, and the central focus will be on the re-structured House of Fishing feature at the heart of the Village.
“With massive support from the trade, The Angling Trust, the Fly Dressers Guild and many others, this will be a real participation experience for everyone.”
Visitors to the House of Fishing will be able to meet England Team members and take a look in their fly and tackle boxes, seek advice on gear and tactics, watch videos and live demonstrations, and talk to the experts on a one-to-one basis.
