The prestigious Arthur Oglesby Award is being reinstated at this year’s CLA Game Fair, which is being held from Friday, July 18th until Sunday, July 20th at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire.
The highly coveted award, a stunning fish sculpture by Ian Greensit, is given to individuals who have made a lifetime contribution to the sport of fishing, and who have made a particular impact in the last year. The past winners include household names such as Hugh Miles, Bernard Cribbins, Sandy Leventon and Andy Murray.
The award itself will be on view in the House of Fishing area, which will be located at the centre of the Fishing Village at this year’s event, where visitors will be able to vote for their choice from a shortlist drawn up from nominations received from anglers, the press and the trade. The presentation of the award will be made at midday on Sunday, July 20th.
