Gloucestershire Fishery Wins Disabled Award

Bushyleaze Trout Fishery in Gloucestershire has won this year’s Alan Faulkner Memorial Award in recognition for efforts to support the needs of disabled anglers.
The fishery received the award, which was presented at this year’s CLA Game Fair at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, from guest of honour Lord de Mauley, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Natural Environment and Science.
We  had a really strong shortlist for this year’s Alan Faulkner Memorial Award, but Bushyleaze’s fantastic facilities and ease of access, plus their committed staff, gave them the edge over the other shortlisted candidates,” explained Andy Beadsley, CEO of The Wheelyboat Trust.
The award – this year being a 4hp outboard motor, provided by the award’s sponsors, Suzuki GB – is presented annually to the game fishery that provides disabled anglers with the most outstanding service, facilities, opportunities and access.
