This Sunday (3rd August) sees the Herefordshire Country Fair being held on the banks of the River Wye at Caradoc, near Ross.
The Wye & Usk Foundation will be hosting the fishing section, where there will be fly fishing tuition and demonstrations from several professional GAIA qualified instructors, along with salmon and trout distance casting competitions and a trout accuracy competition. Prizes will include fishing tackle and trophies for the winners of the gents, ladies and juniors sections.
The main tent will host fly-tying demonstrations by members of the Fly Dressers Guild and there will be plenty of fishing tackle, old and new, to try or buy.
It’s a great day out for all the family where, as well as all the angling exhibitions, there will be plenty of other activities such as show jumping, clay shooting, gundogs, terrier racing, a fun fair and hundreds of trade stands.
