From the 10th-11th March 2017, the Business Design Centre will host The London Fly Fishing Fair. Co-founded by John Kelley and his son, Fergus Kelley, this is the first annual exhibition which will exclusively feature fly fishing and outdoor lifestyle brands and experiences in central London.
Brands supporting the fair to date include Flydreamers, Fish Mongolia, Loop, West Coast Fishing, Iolus Fishing, Golden Dorado River Cruises, Thornwood Fisheries, GAIA, Fishing for Forces, Fin and Game and Nervous Waters. Each are enthusiastically backing this unique initiative, which aims to unite fly fishers from all over the world and engage newcomers in the sport.
Fergus Kelley, co-founder of the London Fly Fishing Fair says, "Fly fishing has been a very big part of my life for many years now, travelling extensively around the world to fish. However, London is my home and bringing the sport to the many Londoners who have not seen or been able to get involved in fly fishing really inspired me to bring it here..”
The London Fly Fishing Fair will provide a gateway for all to learn about the various aspects of the fly fishing industry worldwide, offering the opportunity for visitors to learn and engage in a hands-on way. Expect fly casting demonstrations and tutorials from experts including British, European and World casting champion Hywel Morgan and all-around angling guru Charles Jardine. Fly tying activities, debates, captivating films and discussions will also run throughout the fair.
Joining fly fishing fanatic and Orvis UK Ambassador, Marina Gibson, in support of the inaugural event, is James Stokoe, who has also been announced as the latest ambassador for the London Fly Fishing Fair. James is the proud winner of the BBC’s fishing programme Earth’s Wildest Waters: The Big Fish and is also an ambassador for the Angling Trust. Be inspired by our experts and find out how you too can unleash a passion for the sport.
